What Our Clients Are Saying
Testimonials to the fun at Coyote Crossing!

Sue Hemphill, a remarkable woman with unending accomplishments in the horse world and knowledge that is just unending. I first met Sue at a small horse show where I was encouraged by a friend to show my mare (my very first time to show a horse). Low and behold…I received a First Place award in Halter Mares. I was ecstatic!, wanted to know who the judge was….found out it was Sue. I introduced myself to her and obtained her email address. I decided to frame my ribbon and wanted to know just what the award was for. Sue explained what the Halter class is judged on. This is when I began seeking advice from Sue…and the friendship began.

About 6 months later, She began working with my grandson (Wyatt Taylor) on his riding skills. Within the first year, Wyatt and Raven were awarded numerous awards and are continuing to be winners. I’ll be working with Sue myself within the next few months hoping to get myself up to speed for competing in small shows around the area. Sue has also become a volunteer for our 4-H Horse Club, and is a great asset. Because of Sue, our club stays busy with horse activities. Sue offers her knowledge, her skills and her facilities. Sue is a wonderful instructor full of encouragement and excitement and has become a wonderful friend. Thank you Sue….and we love ya!

Hi, I’m Wyatt Taylor, currently 11 years old. My granny introduced me to Sue in the Spring of 2007. Sue immediately began preparing my mare Raven and myself for speed competition, halter and judged event competitions. Three months after our training began, I competed in the 4-H District competition where Raven & I received a 3rd place in Halter Grade mares and qualified in the Stake race for the State Competition in Abilene. At state, we received a finalist ribbon in the Stake race and a ribbon in Halter (and that was just the first year). The second year at District we won the halter class and went on to State competition again. At State this time, we received a 5th in Halter and 8th in the Stake Race, which qualified us again for the finals, where we moved up to 7th place. I was awarded with a belt buckle for being in the top ten. Since then, Raven and I, with Sue's instruction, have won numerous awards and High Point buckles. Sue also worked with me in preparation for a Public Speaking competition where I received a first place medal. Sue is always ready to work with us young folks and encourages us to do our best. She volunteers her time and her facilities and offers her knowledge to everyone in our 4-H Horse Club. While pushing me to do my best, she became my friend. With her help, Raven and I have become great partners. I will keep asking for Sue’s help throughout my riding days so that Raven and I can continue to do our best and bring home the awards! Thank You Sue!

I know my horses get the best care; I couldn't believe the improvement Jake made in just a few days of camp. He made new friends, learned to ride, bonded with his horse, and he can't wait to go back. He has gone from timid to confident. I know safety is #1 with Sue. I wouldn't think of buying or selling a horse without Sue. She has a knack for matching up horse and rider's skill level and temperament. The "match up" is more important than the sale. As an adult, my knowledge has increased exponentially since I've been going to Coyote Crossing.

Sue sold us with "Lilly", the PERFECT mare for my daughter. She understood exactly what we needed. My daughter and I have been to 2 horse camps since and have had a blast! Horse camp has it all...skilled training, relaxation, horse bonding time AND mother daughter bonding time! How perfect!?

At horse camp we worked on speed events. My speed and confidence improved greatly! I feel ready to compete!

Whenever I first decided to come to Camp Coyote Crossing, I wasn't sure I would like it, but when I came, I really did!!!!!!! I had ridden English on my mare Daisy at another stable, and it really wasn't fun. Here I ride English & Speed Events on her, & we're doing GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ms. Sue is a GREAT trainer. She helped pair me up with my horse Legend. Ms. Sue helped us train Rocky, another of our horses, when he had not been trained in speed events, be a great speed horse. Camp is fun from daybreak to dusk! Ms. Sue helps us with every thing, she teaches us everything there is to know and makes it all A BUNCH of fun!! See You Soon!!

Sue's camps are so unique and personalized; they're unlike any horse camp I've ever heard of. The kids spend hours in the saddle each day and have learned so much so quickly. Sue has a way of respectfully meeting each rider at their individual level and quickly building skills and confidence in very fun ways. I know my kids are being well cared for when they are there without me, and are not only learning so much about every aspect of horsemanship, but having incredible experiences they will look back on and cherish! Sue has been hugely helpful in every aspect of our "horse" experiences: choosing correct tack, care of our horses, setting realistic goals, even helping with buying and selling of our horses. We consider her a true friend as well as a dedicated trainer and will always be grateful for our experiences with her!

I'd rate going to Miss Sue's as a 10!!!! It's fun every minute I'm there (except sleeping, because we're not doing anything)!!!!!
